Bath Abbey
The abbey sits on the site which three different churches have occupied during a period of more than 12 centuries. This wonderfully atmospheric church holds regular services, concerts and organ recitals.

Roman Baths
This fantastic historic building contains the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple and the Roman bath house, all of which help us envisage life here during the Roman occupation. You can also the Pump Room, which dates from Georgian times.

The Arts
Bath Theatre Royal, Ustinov Studio, Rondo Theatre, Mission Theatre and the egg are Bath’s theatres. Here you will regularly find world famous performers and directors. Sir Peter Hall has a season here every year.

The city’s biggest concert arena is Bath Abbey, where the Klais Organ sits, and various concerts and recitals take place here during the year. The Forum was originally an art deco cinema but is now a concert venue with 1,700 seats.

The Bath International Music Festival and Mozartfest take place in Bath annually, as do the Bath Film Festival, the Bath Fringe Festival, the Bath Beer Festival and the Bath Literature Festival.

The Victoria Art Gallery is another popular attraction with visitors.

The many museums in Bath include the Fashion Museum, Museum of East Asian Art, the Herschel Museum of Astronomy, The Holborne Museum of Art, the Jane Austen Centre and the Bath Postal Museum.

Public Parks
The most visited park in Bath is probably Royal Victoria Park. This park was inaugurated in 1830 by a young Princess Victoria and offers a botanical gardens area and plenty of family activities as well as a beautiful green lawn area and some spectacular views.

Alexandra Park is strategically positioned on a hill overlooking the city. Parade Gardens runs pleasantly alongside the River Avon and near the Abbey. Sydney Gardens was an 18th century pleasure garden.

Thermae Bath Spa
This centre was opened in 2006 and lets visitors enjoy the area’s famous hot spring waters. It holds the proud title of Britain’s only natural hot spring spa and offers the chance to relax in the city’s famous waters while enjoying a spectacular view.

Cleveland Pools
Here you will find the oldest public outdoor lido in England still standing. It is located in a park area near the river.
